International Night 2012: The Paradise in You
Since 1999, ISA has contributed to the efforts of uniting cultures and promoting understanding of cultural diversity on the UH campus. This year’s theme “The Paradise in You” represents the paradise in each of us. The meaning behind this theme is that people from different cultures can come together and create a united wonderland. Each culture is distinct and beautiful. The goal for International night 2012 “The Paradise in You” will be to bring out the paradise in us and to unite all that beauty into one.
The International Student Association (ISA) invites you to join in the celebration of cultures at International Night 2012, which takes place Friday, March 16th, 6:00 – 9:00 pm, in the Campus Center Ballroom at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Students, faculty, and community members come together to present cultures via stage performances and interactive cultural booths.
Cultures represented this year are Belgium, China, Costa Rica, Cuba, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Madagascar, Malaysia, Marianas Islands, Mexico, Nepal, New Zealand, Okinawa, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Hawaii - U.S.A.
By visiting most of the cultural booths, you are entitled to enter a prize drawing to win prizes from the following companies: Kahala Hotel & Resort, Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, Halekulani, Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel, The Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, and University of Hawaii at Manoa Bookstore.
Special thanks go to the Ethnomusicology Association at UHM, School of Travel Industry Management, and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers. Mahalo to all sponsors for your generous donations!
This event is free and open to the public. However, donations for the Hawaii Food Bank will be collected at the door and will be much appreciated.
We hope to see you at International Night as we discover the paradise in all of us!
SPONSORS: ISA is sponsored by International Student Services. International Night 2012 is sponsored by Associated Students of University of Hawai‘i and Campus Center Board.

We believe that a strong alumni network is very essential to ISA, and we need you to help us build this sustainable network which will keep our alumni connected in the future. We are building a database of all former ISA members as well as International alumni, and to join us, you can simply go on our website to register. Here are the instructions:
1.Go on www.isauhm.com
2.Click “Alumni’ tab and then click “Apply Online”
3.Fill in all the information and click “Submit”
4.You will receive a confirmation email in your email account. If you don’t receive an email in 30 minutes, there may be technical error and you may need to register again.
One of the benefits for you to join this database will be that you can receive a newsletter from ISA at the end of each semester to update you on what we have done in ISA and the UHM community. We highly recommend you to join us because you can:

•Help raise funds for the June C. Naughton ISS Endowed Scholarship to help international students
•Refresh your memories of the Aloha spirits from the new generation of ISA and more…
We will be sending out our first newsletter by the end of December, so if you don’t want to miss it, please register now on www.isauhm.com We want to stay connected with you and hope to see you soon in our future alumni reunion.
Together, we can make our ISA ‘ohana bigger and better.
